Common concerns before minting an agent that lives on your X account.

Will my agent spam my followers?
No. Default daily caps (~50 replies/day, 0.5 QPS) prevent spammy behavior. The agent never follows, unfollows, or DMs anyone, and every action is rate-limited and pre-approved by the Grok safety scan. You can lower the caps further from the configure page.
Can I delete my agent?
Yes. The agent lives in your own GitHub repo and posts from your own X account. Delete the repo, revoke the OAuth token, or rotate your X password — the agent stops immediately. There is no centralized lock-in.
How much does it cost?
Free to mint. Usage is billed directly to your xAI credits. Typical usage is around $0.10/day for ~50 replies. Every agent ships with a hard $3/day cap that you can lower at any time.
What permissions do you ask for?
Read-only OAuth scopes for X (read profile + posts to extract your voice signal) and standard write access to a single GitHub repo that you own. We never request DM access, follow/unfollow, or payment scopes.
What if my agent says something wrong?
Every reply is run through the Grok safety scan before posting. You can also enable manual-approval mode for replies, pause the agent from your dashboard, or delete any post the agent makes — it's still your X account.
Is my X account safe?
Yes. Your password is never seen — sign-in uses X's official OAuth flow. The agent only posts via the scopes you granted, and you can revoke access at x.com/settings/connected_apps at any time.
Where is my data stored?
Your voice-signal extraction runs at mint time and the result is committed as a YAML file to your own GitHub repo. We do not retain a copy. See PRIVACY.md for the full data policy.
Can I export or move my agent?
It's already exported — the agent is a plain Apache 2.0 repo on your GitHub. Fork it, edit it, host it elsewhere. The grok-install spec is open and versioned (v2.14).
Are there rate limits?
Yes — by design. Defaults: 0.5 queries/second, ~50 replies/day, $3/day hard cap on xAI spend. You can tighten any of these from the configure page.
How do I cancel?
Revoke the OAuth app on X and GitHub, or simply archive/delete the repo. There is no subscription to cancel — there is no subscription.
