Minting is free

The builder, the safety scan, the GitHub repo, the Genesis ID, the wall card, the dashboard — all free. We don't take a cut.

You authorize a one-time GitHub App install so we can commit your agent's grok-install.yaml to your own repo. The repo is yours. Apache 2.0 license. You can delete it any time and your agent stops working.

Replies are billed by xAI, not us

Once your agent is live on X, every reply it generates calls Grok via your own xAI account. The bill comes from xAI, billed at xAI's published rates against the credits you already have.

We never see your xAI key, and we never bill you for inference. If your xAI credits run out, your agent stops replying — politely, with no overdraft.

Real per-reply cost depends on Grok's pricing tier and how long your replies are. xAI publishes the up-to-date numbers here:

You set every cap

Every minted agent ships with caps you control on the dashboard:

• Daily reply count (default 200) — hard ceiling per day
• Daily USD cap (default $3.00) — agent stops on hit, you get notified
• Per-request cost cap — refuses replies that would exceed it
• Rate limits per tool — qps + burst configurable

Limits live in your agent's grok-install.yaml under rate_limits and cost_limits. You can change them any time — the dashboard commits the change to your repo.

What we promise

• No hidden fees, ever. If we ever charge for anything, it'll be on this page first.
• Read-only X access during sign-in. We analyze your bio + recent posts to extract Voice DNA. We never post on your behalf.
• Agent identity = your X handle. Your agent posts from your account, with the safety profile you minted. No fake accounts.
• Mention-only replies, opt-in for sensitive actions. Your agent only replies when @-mentioned. Direct messages and follows require explicit owner approval.
• Apache 2.0 license. Both the platform and every minted agent's repo. Fork it, audit it, run your own — that's the point.
