# Account Health Watch List

Turns a customer portfolio into a ranked watch list of risk and expansion signals.

## When to use

Weekly account review, renewal crunch, or when usage, support, or billing looks off and you need a ranked list — not a dump of every account.

## Required inputs and access

**Inputs (required)**
- The account list / portfolio to review (names or CRM IDs).
- Risk and expansion definitions, or accept the defaults below.
- Recent evidence from at least one source: product usage, support, billing, renewal timing, or CS notes.

**Access**
- None if the user pastes the list and evidence.
- CRM, product usage, support, billing, or CS notes only to collect *current* data.

If a source is missing, stale, or unavailable, say so and skip it. Do not reuse last week’s numbers.

**Default risk thresholds** (override if the user supplies their own)
- **At risk:** renewal in ≤60 days AND (usage down vs prior period, or an open escalation, or an unpaid invoice).
- **Watch:** usage down, a new escalation, a champion left, or renewal in ≤90 days with thin stakeholder activity.
- **Expand:** usage up and a clear expansion signal (new team, unused seats, asked for a feature you sell).

## Steps

1. Confirm the portfolio and the thresholds in use.
2. For each account, collect current usage, support escalations, renewal timing, billing status, and stakeholder activity.
3. Score against the thresholds. Rank: At risk → Watch → Expand. Quiet-healthy accounts stay off the list or in a short “stable” footnote.
4. For each listed account write: evidence (with source), why it matters, suggested next step (draft only).
5. Call out missing or stale sources. Do not invent activity.
6. Return the watch list. Do not contact customers. Do not edit the CRM.

## How to validate

- Every listed account has evidence, why it matters, and a suggested next step.
- Every evidence line names its source.
- Missing or stale sources are listed, not silently filled.
- No customer was contacted. No CRM record was edited.
- The list is ranked, not a copy of the whole portfolio.

## Always ask for approval when

- Contacting a customer
- Editing the CRM
- Changing billing, discounts, or renewals
- Posting the watch list outside this conversation

## Expected output

**Watch list** (ranked)

| Rank | Account | Signal | Evidence (source) | Why it matters | Suggested next step |
|------|---------|--------|-------------------|----------------|---------------------|
| 1 | … | At risk / Watch / Expand | … | … | … |

**Sources used / missing**
- Used: …
- Missing or stale: … (not filled with old data)

**Stable** (optional footnote)
- Accounts reviewed and not listed, with a one-line reason.
